Kansas Whitetail Deer Hunting & Nebraska Whitetail and Mule Deer Hunting
Rifle Hunts @ Wolf River Outfitters, LLC.
For the deer hunter who wants to decrease the
odds, our Kansas or Nebraska deer hunting rifle hunts are just the ticket.

The Kansas Whitetail Deer herd.
The biggest question when planning a trophy
whitetail hunt is: What kind of deer are there?
There must be a quality deer herd, or there won't be any trophy bucks. Kansas has the
formula for success. To begin with, Kansas has a good strain of whitetail. Add to that a
good food supply of corn, soybeans, wheat and alfalfa. Then throw in all the wild forage
that is available. Next add a good measure of habitat. We have great cover and protection
for the deer. Add to that low hunting pressure (0.5 hunters per square mile). That is the
Kansas formula for trophy deer.
We at Wolf River Outfitters have many acres of quality private land available to our
hunters. We make every effort to increase the number of trophy bucks. We plant food plots
where needed, and keep mineral pits fresh. We also limit the number of hunters that we
take. In addition, we harvest a number of does each year to manage the buck-to-doe ratio.

Central Nebraska Hunting land
The hunting areas.
We have prime land. Kansas has very little
public hunting ground. It can be hard for a non-resident to gain access to the
"good" ground. We have taken care of that for you. We have sought out and
acquired some of the very best hunting ground in our part of the state. We have several
large tracts of land that allow us to have an impact on the management of the deer. If you
have always dreamed of having a place to yourself, you have had your dream come true. Each
location that we hunt, is situated so that each hunter has an exclusive area to hunt. We
rotate hunters to each of these spots so everyone has an equal chance.
Our ground consists of river bottoms and rolling
farm land. We have crops such as corn, soybeans, wheat and alfalfa. We have hardwood
timbers with several types of acorns and other natural foods that the deer love. Most of
the ground that we hunt is hilly, with steep, deep ditches.

The way we hunt.
Our most productive type of hunting has been
stand hunting. We have several shooting towers and lots of comfortable tree stands. The
shooting towers look like outhouses on stilts. We put these in areas where the deer like
to travel, but there aren't any trees for a stand. They are fully enclosed to give you
maximum protection from the elements. The tree stands are located in travel and
bedding areas where dear activity is highest.
We also have areas set aside for those who
prefer to still hunt, or spot and stalk, which has proven to be a successful method of
hunting. We feel both of these methods can result in a successful hunt.
